THE FROXFIELD IN BLACK OAK

£7,800.00

A unique limited edition floor clock created by our designer Edmund Barker. The design is inspired by his time as an apprentice at the renowned Edward Barnsley Workshop in Froxfield and each piece has his makers mark. The contemporary style hand made cabinet is created using selected timbers and finished to reveal the beautiful wood grain. The bell strike movement and grained nickel silver accessories are revealed and protected by a mineral glass on all sides.

This piece will be handmade for you and will be ready in 8-12 weeks.

Fine cabinetry

A key design element of the Froxfield is the curved chamfer, which transforms the rudimentary shape of the cabinet into something far more sculptural. Creating details like this has challenged us to utilise our expertise and experience in both machining and hand craftsmanship.

Sunburst dial

The start of any piece always begins with considered material selection. We carefully select the best veneer to create a sunburst pattern which defines the dials twelve chapters.
